8/14/17

August 14, 2017
Today’s schedule is 7135

Students--did you know that there is FREE breakfast for ALL students this year?
Yes--really!  ALL students can have breakfast for NO CHARGE!

A reminder about breakfast expectations:
1.  You must get in line for breakfast as soon as you get on campus (either off the bus or dropped off by a parent). Worry about eating FIRST.  If you get in line at the last minute because you were hanging out with your friends, you will not be served breakfast or given a late pass to class--so get in line early!

2. ALL breakfast food (including juice) must be eaten in the cafeteria (no outside eating like you can do at lunch time).  If you are going to save an item like a pop tart or granola bar to eat later in the morning, it must be put into your backpack BEFORE you leave the cafeteria.

3.  There is only 1 entry door for breakfast--it is the door near the outside lunch tables.  Please do not try to enter the cafeteria through the door near the SSO (Student Services Office--ASB & Health office) as that is an EXIT only door.

4.  ONLY students getting a school breakfast may come in to the cafeteria in the morning as there is only enough seating before school for students actually getting a school breakfast.

4.  Unlike lunch time, you do not need to raise your hand to be excused during breakfast. Once you are finished, clean up your table area & take all of your trash to the front of the stage.  Leaving your trash behind may result in a breakfast detention. Dump any trash in your tray in to the trashcan & then stack your tray in the box (just like at lunch).

You can purchase the following in the ASB office:
·    Current Year PE Clothes are on sale for $15 a set.
·    Previous Year PE Clothes are on clearance for $10 a set.
·    Previous Year PE Sweatpants are on clearance for $5 each.
Cash or Check only.

Attention Yearbook staff.  This first mandatory yearbook meeting will be Wednesday, August 16th after school until 5:00 in Mr. Phillip's room.  Make sure you have your ride home arranged.

Congrats to the Quail cheerleaders who have been working hard over the summer. This they were awarded camp superiors and the spirit award, the two highest honors at camp. Kennedy Carreon was also chosen "top 10 overall" at camp for her awesome cheer performance. Congratulations again to Quail cheer.

Congratulations students!  Yesterday, was literally THE BEST first day of lunches ever!  It was SO impressive that students were WALKING to lunch instead of running, students already had their lunch #s memorized (do that today while you are in line if you don't have yours memorized yet--it helps the lines move SO much faster!!), students were raising their hands in the cafeteria before getting up from the table, and students were throwing away their trash & leaving their areas clean. THANK YOU for being such a great group of responsible & respectful students--it is going to be a great year!

Just a REMINDER TO STUDENT AND PARENTS

Students:  If you arrive tardy to school due to going out for breakfast, Starbucks, etc.--please remember that you may not go late/tardy into class eating your food or drinks (Starbucks included).   Food and drinks must be finished (or thrown away) before going to class.

Reason: This is considered a "distraction" which causes more disruption for the rest of the class. Thank you
