Technology Update

Hi Parents/Guardians

I wanted to let you know about some new information and Updates regarding Schoolwide Technology:

  • English Classes: All students will have a computer to use in class with next years New Adopted Curriculum.
  • Math/Science: Classes will have enough computers for more than 1/2 of the students in their classes.
  • Social Studies: Classes have a full computer cart to use or have access to one of three Computer labs on campus.
  • We have 3 Full Classroom Sets for each Computer Lab on Campus.
  • All Electives have either a full classroom set of computers or access to a full set.
  • We have approximately 250 computers for 6th grade, over 200 for 7th grade and over 200 for 8th grade in classes.

Our plan is to continue to provide technology within the class in order to allow students access to a variety of instructional resources.

We will continue to communicate new information as we receive it.

Thank you for your support

Today’s schedule is 3571
Red & White Renaissance cards go to lunch early today

Students--You never know when you may need your ID card (ESPECIALLY if you have a Renaissance Sticker) for end of the year activities!  Be sure to have it with you every day!  For instance, make sure that you bring your Renaissance card to lunch today.  There will be a special game just for Renaissance Card holders.

If you are an 8th grader going on the East Coast DC/New York trip THIS year in 2017, go see Ms. Mankins in room H6 regarding food orders. She must have your order choices before the end of day on Thursday May 25, or she will have to order your food for you. Again, this is for 8th graders going on the East Coast DC trip THIS year: get your food order to Ms. Mankins in room H6 by Thursday.

This week is Spirit Week.  The theme is "Can't Wait for Summer".  Each day has a different theme.
Monday is Mismatch Monday because we know you're going to miss Quail Valley.
Tuesday is Tie Dye Tuesday because we are dying for this year to end.
Wednesday is "Wish I was Cooler" Wednesday because summer is almost here and it's getting hot, so dress like someone you admire or respect.
Thursday is Throwback Thursday because we know you've made so many memories this year, so wear something from a different era or generation.
Friday is Freedom Friday because we just can't wait to be free for the summer, so wear red, white and blue.
Remember, dress code always applies.  We will only be giving Cougar Cash on Monday and Tuesday.

Archery will meet Tuesday and Thursday this week.  Thursday will be the last day.

There are NO new library checkouts for the remainder of this year.  All library books and textbooks are due by this Friday, May 26th. Be sure to check with your teachers before turning in your textbooks.  The library has a selection of used books on sale for only $0.25 apiece if you still need a book for a report or AR points.

Attention 8th Graders! If you are interested in giving the promotion speech at graduation, be sure to turn your speech in to your Composition teacher by tomorrow.

Attention students! This is your last chance to get your yearbook for 2017! Yearbooks will be distributed at a special event on May 25, and it's not too late to get yours! Books must be purchased from the Quail Valley ASB office, for $40 cash only. We have a limited supply left so get yours before it's too late!

Attention all Track athletes, please return your "CLEAN" jersey to Mr. McKenzie or Mrs. Laza as soon as possible.

From now until the end of the year, purchases in the ASB office are cash only.  No checks will be accepted.

Attention all 6th and 7th graders!
FLASH SALE! Do you need another set of PE clothes?  Get this year’s PE uniform at the sale price of $6 for shorts and $4 for shirts.  First come, first serve.  CASH ONLY PLEASE!
